trinity of inquiry

As a living lab we are in an active practice of inquiry. Currently, our three areas of inquiry are guiding pillars in the questions that we explore and experiences we curate. They are: Gnosis, Eros and Polis.

GNOSIS

True knowledge is not found in facts and figures or is mediated by an authority. Culture imposes belief systems that we take on as our truths, often unconsciously.

Gnosis points to the deep and timeless wisdom that rises from direct felt experience of having touched the unknown.

Within the eternal mystery is an innermost knowing that emerges from a place of curiosity, deep listening and humility. Wisdom is found in multiple and diverse ways of knowing, being, sensing and relating to the world.

As an area of inquiry, the energy of Gnosis asks:

  • What is your true nature and what is your conditioning?

  • How do you cultivate your relationship with your innermost knowing?

  • How do you commune with divine emergence?

Eros

To limit Eros to the realms of the sexual or erotic constrains its true meaning.

Eros is the animating force of aliveness that moves through all of life. Eros is activated when we witness truth and beauty in the world.

Eros pulls us out of the illusion of separation and invites us into relationship with all that is perceived as other - be it the words of a poem, the warmth of sunshine on our skin, the kiss of a lover, the sweetness of a mango, the melody of a songbird, the fragrance of a blossom, or the caress of the wind.

As an area of inquiry, the energy of Eros asks:

  • What do you long for?

  • What makes you come alive?

  • How do you cultivate your relationship to yourself, to others and the more-than-human world?

Polis

We are interconnected in a web of life and therefore exist only in relationality. Therefore, we must reimagine the structure and systems we are a part of with the lens of relationality.

Polis expands the aperture from seeing ourselves as atomized individuals, to seeing ourselves as part of an implicit order. It invites us into a deeper understanding of how we can be more contextually relevant in these times of transition.

Polis reveals the underlying logics of culture and systems that perpetuate a source code of self-destruction. It reminds us that our healing is bound together and our liberation is entangled.

As an area of inquiry, the energy of Polis asks:

  • How can we reimagine culture, systems and structures that are in service to life?

  • What is your unique gift and how can it serve the whole?

  • How do we live in deeper service to the living world?

  • How do we serve Gaia’s will?
