We are a leading exponent of the “regenerative agriculture” revolution, and taking our farm tour will introduce you to this “beyond organic” celebration of holistic food production.

 

Sacred Seed Sanctuary Tour

The Sacred Seeds Sanctuary at Finca Luna Nueva is a dynamic collection of medicinal plants that protects and celebrates not only biological diversity in Costa Rica and the tropics, but also the diversity of cultural knowledge related to these plants worldwide. Our Sacred Seeds garden currently houses over 300 tropical medicinal plants. In a world where 50 to 200 species become extinct every day due to deforestation, over harvesting, or other human activity, the sanctuary aims to preserve the genetic material and cultural use of these plants.

Rainforest Mystery Night Tour

Accompanied by an expert guide, our guests will walk this mile trail and experience the sights and sounds of the rainforest at night. You may see kinkajous, sleeping birds, translucent glass frogs, red-eyed tree frogs, or perhaps lizards or snakes. You never know – the creatures come out on their schedule, guided perhaps by the phases of the moon and whether it has just rained. We assure you of this, however: you will feel the rainforest at night, and that is a direct contact with one of the great mysteries on this planet.

 

Cabalonga Hike + River Tour

Experience the beauty and bounty of the rainforest walking on the well marked Cabolonga trail. Surrounded by the lush greenery and the rich biodiversity you can take in the beautiful surroundings. This trail leads to the Chichagua River where you can cool off and swim in the flowing waters or sun bathe on a river rock.

 

Rainforest Hike + Waterfall Tour

Children’s Eternal Rainforest Tour

To hike in the Children’s Eternal Rainforest is to experience one of the most beautiful natural treasures of Costa Rica. Created in 1987 through the efforts of children from 44 nations, it represents one of the most inspiring conservation stories of the 20th Century with over 70,000 acres of protected rainforest. Among the wildlife and various types of plants you can also find bubbling mud pits where geotechnonic plates collide. Yes, you can rub the hot volcanic mud on your faces! The many trails offer a range of hiking challenge, and after your hike you can refresh yourself with a swim in the lake that fills the caldera of this extinct volcano.

 

Thermal Baths (Eco TermalEs)

Located 30min from Brave Earth, Eco Termales hot springs is a deeply healing, enriching experience. The water originates from the magnesia filled waters heated by the geo-thermal activity of Volcano Arenal providing the perfectly and naturally balanced quantities of calcium bicarbonates and magnesium, which have analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and muscle relaxing properties.

Arenal Volcano + Waterfall Observatory + Lake Swim

For those that want an up-close view of the volcano, this tour is for you. The Observatory is a must see destination, located inside Arenal Volcano National Park (45 min drive from Brave Earth), featuring stunning panoramic views of the volcano. It has a wonderful walking trails leading to a waterfall and a bird watching tower. This tour then moves on to a park on the water in the town of El Castillo (10 minutes from Observatory), where guests will have a picnic and be able to swim in Lake Arenal with the back drop of the volcano right behind them.
